HEALING UNPLUGGED. Documentary Series 08-09

What if?

What happens when we reconnect with nature? What happens when we realized that we are one with nature? What happens when we become aware of what we already have?

It has become increasingly more evident to us that our treatment of “mother nature” has been far from fair and that “mother nature” has suffered continuous damage at our hands. Clearly we’ve forgotten how dependant on our whole planet we really are, and consequently we have also damaged ourselves. Today a great number of us are seeking to correct this damage, and in a very real sense, many of us seek to help heal planet earth. But healing our environment while we need to heal ourselves is a huge endeavor, one, which at times seems impossible, but not to all.

We have also forgotten how complex nature and we are, and how complex our relationship with nature really is. As we face the need for healing, there are many people on earth who have maintained a close relationship with “mother nature”, in a circle of mutual support. Among this group of people there are some who are called “natural healers” because they have realized that together with all they’ve receive from “mother nature” is the ability to heal others. Practically all these “natural healers” will tell you that they don’t do the healing, that it is nature “acting” through them that does the work. One can say that on some level, it is their ability to recognize that they are one with nature that allows the healing powers of nature to work through them.

It is possible that “natural healers” point the way to the great powers of “mother nature” that make possible healing for all. Most “natural healers” are very accessible to most people and are often the only source of medical help for the poor. Their compassion and love for others emphasizes their connection to humanity / nature in a very practical, everyday manner. It is the “natural healer” who in many ways makes clear what might be possible; that yes, nature can heal us, and that perhaps nature can help us see the way to help heal the whole world. It is possible and it is real. It has been done and it is being done everyday. If nature through one person can heal many, then many through nature can heal the whole. The impossible made possible
